Tunis

Tunis is the sprawling capital of Tunisia, a country located in North Africa. It lies along Lake Tunis, directly off the Gulf of Tunis on the Mediterranean Sea. It is home to a centuries-old medina and the Bardo National Museum, where famous Roman mosaics are displayed in a palace complex dating back to the 15th century. The park-like ruins of ancient Carthage are located in the northern suburbs of the city.
