Benghazi
Benghazi is the second-largest city in Libya by population and the largest city in the region of Cyrenaica, with an estimated population of 1,207,250 in 2020. Benghazi is located on the Gulf of Sidra in the Mediterranean Sea and is also a major seaport. There was a Greek colony called Euesperides in the area around 525 BC.
